Lesson 0.0.0. Crypto Transaction Introduction

Lesson 38/43 | Study Time: 0 Min
Course: Primary SOC

You can receive a cryptocurrency into your cryptocurrency wallet. Before you do that, first make sure that your crypto exchange account has a wallet for that specific cryptocurrency you want to receive.

You confirm this by checking the Asset area of the crypto exchange to see if that cryptocurrency is listed there and has buttons for depositwithdrawal, and trading.

Remember that each crypto wallet is specific for a cryptocurrency. A crypto must be sent to its own wallet!

Indeed, many cryptocurrencies are lost every day because people do not observe the simple Rule of Crypto Wallet Transactions, which states that “each cryptocurrency is specific to its own wallet.” For instance, Bitcoin must only be sent and received in a Bitcoin wallet. If you send Bitcoin to a non-Bitcoin wallet such as Ethereum wallet, you may lose your Bitcoin.

Don’ts:

Do Not Send a crypto to a different crypto wallet other than its own wallet, else you will lose your crypto money!
