Lesson 4.0.0. Twelve Important Security Tips You Should Remember
1. Avoid storing all your cryptos in one wallet. Have multiple wallets. This is a wise decision because if one wallet is compromised, the cryptos in the other wallets are preserved.
2. Do not link all your wallets together.
3. As much as possible, avoid using the same login details for all your wallets.
4. Your login details such as your password should be changed periodically, possibly every three months.
5. Write down your login details in a notebook and, as much as possible, memorize them.
6. The recommended standard storage procedure for your crypto login details is to have them in triplicates; that is, in three different books. An easier way to do this is to make two extra copies of your notebook page that carries the written-down login details. Make sure you keep the copies in separate places; you can keep the original copy with you.
7. Let a trusted person know about your notebook login detail storage.
8. Do not store your login details on your phone, email, or in any other online mechanism. They can be hacked.
9. Avoid logging into your crypto account with a public internet connection such as in a public cybercafé.
10. If you buy any fairly used (second-hand) gadget such as a computer or phone for your crypto investment, format the gadget before you start to use it to erase any form of hidden virus or malware that can make your crypto account vulnerable.
11. Set up a good anti-virus in the gadgets you use for your cryptos.
12. Avoid disclosing sensitive information about your crypto investment in public. Keep your earnings private as much as possible so as not to come under the radar of hackers.
