8.0.3. How to Send and Receive Cryptos from Non-Custodial Wallets

To send and receive a crypto in your non-custodial wallet, it follows the same principle as in a custodial wallet. See the lessons in Grade 7 of the PSOC.

It requires you to identify the send and receive buttons.

The receiving wallet address is the wallet of the native crypto. For example, if you want to receive an ERC20 token, the receiving wallet will be the Ethereum wallet address in the Ethereum Mainnet.

In the same way, if it is a BEP20 token you want to receive, the receiving wallet will be the BNB smartchain wallet address.

Remember the Basic Crypto Law:

Do Not Send a crypto to a different crypto wallet other than its own wallet, else you will lose your crypto!

Thus, do not send an ERC20 token to a BEP20 wallet address, and vice versa!

One question you may ask is:

Does it mean if you want to send a different ERC20, e.g. Axion and Aave, you will use the same Ethereum wallet address?

The answer is yes.

The receiving wallet address is what will receive all tokens into your non-custodial wallet, but it is their individual contract addresses that will identify each of the tokens. This is why you will need to add each token to the non-custodial wallet using their respective contract addresses.
