8.0.1. How to Add Tokens in Non-Custodial Wallets

For this exercise, we will still use Metamask. Note it is the same principle for virtually all non-custodial wallets.

 

Step 1: Login to your Metamask wallet

 

Step 2: Select the appropriate chain, e.g. if it is an ERC20, select the Ethereum mainnet; if it is BEP20, select Binance smartchain, etc.

 

Step 3: Now click on “Asset.”

 

Step 4: Scroll down and click on “Add Token.”

 

Step 5: Click on “Custom Token.”

 

Step 6: Paste the contract address of the token.

 

Step 7: Type in the token symbol and decimals.

 

Step 8: Click on “Next” and then “Add Token.”
